Tuesday (28 Sept) – Letter-Writing Dinner For Anti-Police Prisoner Paul French

What: Political Prisoner Letter-Writing Dinner
When: 7pm sharp, Tuesday, September 28th
Where: 885 Park Avenue, Brooklyn, New York (see below for directions)
Cost: Free

NYC ABC is going camping. “Really?,” you ask. Well, no, not really. However, we are going to have a good time and support political prisoners and prisoners of war in the process. We’re hosting our every-other-week letter-writing dinner.

As many of you know, on April 8th, 2010, an anti-police demonstration took place in Olympia, Washington. Over 50 people marched through the streets as a part of the West Coast Days of Action Against Police Violence. Twenty-nine arrests were made. One of those arrests was Paul French who was subsequently convicted of felony assault of an officer. Paul in currently in debt to the prison and in need of support. To that end, he is the focus of this week’s letter-writing.

On the off chance that you can’t make it in person, please take the time to write a letter to Paul. His address is:

Paul Joseph French
C/O Thurston County Corrections
2000 Lakeridge Drive SW
Olympia, Washington 98502

The deal, as always, is that you come bringing only yourself (and your friends and comrades), and we provide you with a delicious vegan meal, information about a political prisoner or group of prisoners as well as all of the letter-writing materials and prisoner-letter-writing info you could ever want to use in one evening. In return, you write a thoughtful letter to a political prisoner or prisoner of war of your choosing or, better yet, keep up a long-term correspondence.

DIRECTIONS:
